AUTOMATED PASSIVATION MACHINE
A.P.M integrates a complete autonomous micro-controller based system for passivation of surgical foods. If incorporates a robotic arm systems which moves over a conveyor frame carrying a lading tray full of instruments which have to go through different stages of passivation process as illustrated below. Sensor based systems (including pH sensors and temperature sensors) have also been integrated to allow A.P.M to access different stages of passivation process for standardized quality control. The autonomous element allows for continuous process flow allowing multiple process chains to be run simultaneously which as a result increases rate of production.
Loading Bay: is the area where tray is loaded with instruments is placed in loading tray.
Tank A: contains soft water which is boiling at 100°C (temperature maintained via electric heating system) for 30 minutes.
Tank B: contains Passivation Solution (5% Citric Acid + 95% soft water) kept for 30 minutes at a temperature of 45°C with pH sensor indicators
Rinse 1: contains soft water shower for rinsing at the rate of 10 liter/min
Tank C: contains Neutralization solution (5% sodium hydroxide +95% soft water) timed for 25 minutes at 100°C. with pH sensor indicators
Rinse 2: contains soft water shower for rinsing at the rate of 10 liter/min
